At its September 17 meeting, the Senoia Optimist Club welcomed officers Michael Resmondo of the Senoia Police Department and Mike Kinsey of the Coweta County Sheriff’s Department as the civic club observed “Respect for Law”.

As part of the club’s Respect for Law focus, the Senoia Optimists made a donation to the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Home.  Optimist President Sewell said that the donation was “in honor of all police officers in the state of Georgia”.

According to President Sewell, “Optimists believe it is important for children to grow up with a strong belief in abiding by the law, respecting law enforcement and doing what they can to maintain peace.  We hope that our donation to the Sheriffs’ Youth Home will help in this effort.”

The Optimist Club of Senoia has been participating in Respect for Law for many years and has been active in the community since the club was chartered in June, 1985.  President Sewell noted that the club’s new administrative year that begins October 1 will mark the 25th year that the Senoia club has been serving the youth and the community.
