The public is being asked to contribute blood for the American Red Cross at a special large-scale blood drive Wednesday, Sept. 30 at Atlanta Motor Speedway from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The goal is to collect 350 units of blood and the Nascar Foundation is joining others in providing incentives for donors, each of whom will receive:

• A commemorative T-shirt
• A gift bag donated by 3M
• A free pace car ride around Atlanta Motor Speedway's full 1.54-mile quad-oval track
• A chance to win a Richard Petty Driving Experience
• A chance to win a grand prize drawing that will include two tickets and pre-race pit passes to the entire 2010 Kobalt Tools 500 NASCAR race weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway
• A chance to win a $1,000 gas gift card
