No one was injured when a Tyrone family’s home caught fire late Monday morning in the Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park off Senoia Road.

Firefighters were able to put out the flames, which caused roughly $40,000 in damage, according to Capt. Pete Nelms of the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services.

The cause of the fire is undetermined but the matter is under investigation, Nelms said. The fire has been labeled accidental in nature.

The family, which included two adults and one child, received housing assistance from the American Red Cross, Nelms said.
