The Fayette County Historical Society will be continuing a longtime tradition on Sunday, Sept. 27.

It will hold its regular monthly meeting outside at Starr's Mill. The mill will be open for tours at this meeting only.

The time is 3 p.m. and be sure to bring a chair.

Speaker will be society charter member Bobby Kerlin, who grew up just a stone's throw north of the mill.

The meeting is open to anyone who might want to come.

Also on hand will be Rebecca Watts, Ellen Ulken, and Clarence Lyons, who co-authored "Images of America: Peachtree City", a picture book published in honor of that city's 50th birthday. The books will be for sale and they will autograph yours for you. They are $21 each.

"Historic Fayette" author Carolyn Cary and artist Vicki Turner, will also be on hand to autograph this new publication. The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce is the sponsor of the book and will have them on hand for sale. The book is $26.75 each.
