It is an extravaganza by any measure. The Anniversary Gala and Banquet to celebrate Christian City’s 40th year, held Feb. 11 at the Airport Hilton, is the site of hundreds of guests enjoying an evening full of 1940s-style music, dancing and memories. At bottom, Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy, a major sponsor of the event, and Christian City President and CEO Robert Crutchfield take a minute to discuss the evening’s event. Having greatly expanded its services during the past four decades, Christian City first opened its doors to 12 young boys on Valentine’s Day, 1965.
