Karen Denise Wallace and Patrick Jordan Brannon were married at New Hope Baptist Church on June 20, 2009. The Rev. Hugh Kirby conducted the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Kenny and Nancy Wallace of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of Ruth D. Thornton and the late Robert M. Thornton Sr. of Athens, and the late Ronald A. and Christine H. Wallace of Atlanta.

The groom is the son of Larry and Linda Brannon of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of Philip and LaValle Merrifield of Atlanta, and L. R. Brannon and the late Ruth Brannon of Jonesboro.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory Maggie Soterro slim, A-line gown. The gown featured a sweetheart neckline accented with tulle and a delicately placed brooch. The lace overlay was ornamented with Swarovski crystals, glass beads, bugle beads, and featured a sweep train. She carried a bouquet of pink roses.

Katie Judy of Newnan, twin sister of the bride, served as her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Rosser of Senoia, Carol Henry of Athens, Danielle Hester of Savannah, Paige Brannon of Fayetteville, and Ruth Ann DeFazio of Atlanta.

Larry Brannon, the groom’s father, served as best man. Groomsmen were Dan Judy of Newnan, David Dalton of Fayetteville, Jeremy Williams of Warner Robins, Kyle Smith of Columbus, and Reuben Bidez of Fayetteville.

A reception followed the ceremony in the Rainbow Room of New Hope Baptist Church.

Following a honeymoon to the Bahamas, the couple now resides in Newnan.
