Mr. and Mrs. Victor Goetz of Atlanta announce the engagement of their daughter, Jean McMichael Goetz, to Trevor Johnston Mangan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mangan of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jack Miller of Athens, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Goetz of Warner Robins. She is a graduate of The University of Georgia where she graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in history. She currently is in her second year at the University of Georgia School of Law.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Johnston of Bridgston, Maine, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mangan of Lowell, Mass. He is a graduate of The University of Georgia where he graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English and in English education. He currently is employed by Madison County Schools as a high school English teacher in Danielsville.

A wedding is planned for July, 2010 in Atlanta. Following the wedding, the couple will reside in Athens, Ga.
