Fayette County has dodged a pretty big bullet weather-wise.

Though other metro counties are having flooding issues, Fayette has escaped the brunt of Mother Nature’s wrath.

Still, emergency officials are keeping an eye on potential flooding troublespots, as more rain is projected for the week as storm cells continue to migrate from the west.

According to the National Weather Service, Peachtree City got 2.07 inches of rain between 8 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. today. That’s nothing compared to northeast Atlanta, which got well over 5 inches in the same time frame. Or Carrollton, which got over 9.5 inches.
