All Saints starts Beth Moore study
Although classes started yesterday, registration for latecomers is still being accepted for All Saints Anglican Church’s Beth Moore Bible Study course for women. The eight-week course is entitled “Esther: Its Tough Being A Woman.” Classes will meet Tuesday nights from 7-8 p.m. at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church Windgate Road campus. A daytime class is also available. Those interested may sign up through the church office at 770-486-5374. Workbooks may be purchased for $19 through the office as well.

Chicken-Q set for Sept. 19 in PTC
The 6th Annual Chicken-Q, co-sponsored by the Methodist Men of the Peachtree City United Methodist Church and the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City, will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Windgate Road Campus of the PTCUMC. Meals will feature one-half chicken, baked beans and cole slaw for $7.75. The take-out only meal can be picked up (drive-in, drive out) between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the church campus on the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Windgate Road. The primary beneficiary of the proceeds is the area Scouting program. Tickets are available from Kiwanis members, Methodist Men or during the event.

Free movie showing at Harp’s Crossing

Flint Ridge Baptist plans special events
Flint Ridge Baptist Church will celebrate Family and Friends Weekend this Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 19 and 20. Weekend activities will begin with a picnic from 11a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Fayette County Parks & Recreation Department Activities House, 980 Redwine Road in Fayetteville. The celebration will continue on Sunday with a special service at the church at 11 a.m., featuring a message from Flint Ridge’s senior pastor, the Rev. Jerome Drakeford. Bethany starts 3rd Sunday fellowship
Members of Bethany United Methodist Church will begin a new fellowship program with a “3rd Sunday Fellowship,” featuring pot-luck dinner, Bible studies and more, Sunday, Sept. 20, at 5 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring “a game and a friend.” Bethany is on the corner of Rivers and Lee’s Lake Road in north Fayette County. Ushers’ anniversary celebration set
True Love Ministries will celebrate its Ushers’ Anniversary Sunday, Sept. 20, at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Pastor Melvin Ware, senior pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. True Love Ministries is at 192 Graves Rd., just off of Gingercake Road, approximately 2 miles north of Ga. Highway 54.

Lynn Wheeler golf tournment is Sept. 30
Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville will host the Second Annual Lynn Wheeler Benefit Golf Tournament at Durham Lakes Golf and Country Club in Fairburn on Wednesday, Sept. 30. This year’s find-raiser will tee off at 1 p.m. at Durham Lakes. Single players are $85, four-member teams are $340. Donations are also accepted.
