Mr. and Mrs. Milburn Guntz of Baton Rouge, La. announce the engagement of their daughter, Maya Lucille Guntz, to Jamie A. Flowers Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Charity of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Hampton University with a bachelor’s degree in history and currently is a student at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge.

The groom-elect is a graduate of Hampton University with a bachelor’s degree in history and a recent graduate of the Mercer University School of Law in Macon. He also is a commissioned First Lieutenant assigned to the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps of the U.S. Army.

The couple will be married in January of 2010 in Baton Rouge.
