It’s never too early to think about the weekend and this weekend is going to be a humdinger. If you love the local fall festivals, this is the weekend for you.

Peachtree City will hold the annual Shakerag Festival on Saturday and Sunday, while Tyrone gets Founders Day going at Handley Park Friday-Sunday. Inman Farm Heritage Days runs Friday through Sunday as well and the Old Town Sharpsburg festival runs Saturday and Sunday.

There will also be the Saint Christopher Greek Fest at Falcon Field on Saturday at 6:30 p.m., the Fayette Shrine Club Chili Cookoff at 205 Ellis Rd. in Fayetteville and the sixth annual Chicken-Q brought to you by the Methodist Men of the Peachtree City United Methodist Church and the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City, at the church campus on the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Windgate Road.

Still not enough? Twilight Theatre presents “Annie Get Your Gun” at “The Fred” Friday and Saturday, Newnan Community Theatre presents “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” Friday-Sunday and Newnan will have the Fall Art Walk in the downtown area.
