Mike and C’s hosting Herobox Monday nightsTue, 09/08/2009 - 4:15pm
By: The Citizen
Mike and C’s restaurants in Fayetteville and Peachtree City will be donating a portion of its proceeds on Monday nights to Herobox, a Tyrone non-profit that sends custom care packages to troops overseas. Diners who come in from 6-9 p.m. will help earn funds for Herobox through the “Taste of Freedom” program. So car, Herobox has more than 3,000 soldiers registered with their special requests for care packages. The organization is powered by volunteers across the nation. Corporate businesses, schools, churches, and families have all adopted soldiers to send thousands of boxes overseas. With the high demand for care packages HeroBox also seeks monetary and item donations to provide HeroBoxes to soldiers who have not been otherwise sponsored or adopted by area residents. Mike & C's is known as the "untraditional" family sports grill offering breakfast, sports nights for local and national leagues, and a game room. The sports grill also caters events with a large menu for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner.
