The eighth grade Flat Rock Middle School boys basketball team are the county champions. The team, which went undefeated as seventh graders, also went undefeated this season. They are the only teams to go undefeated in school history. They won the county championship by defeating Fayette Middle School 40-28 in the championship game last week. The Flat Rock Middle School girls also won the county championship this year, defeating Booth Middle School 30-27. Team members are Shan Rowe, Zachary Smith, Emerson Williams, Lacy Coleman, Alex Upshaw, Garrett Okum, Andrew Toles, Andrew Robes, Asa Caruthers, Rajon Neal, Ben Pickard and Kevin Jones.
