Prince of Peace Lutheran plans fall kickoff SundayTue, 09/08/2009 - 2:15pm

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fayetteville invites the community to Back to Church and Rally Day, Sunday, Sept. 13. The contemporary service is at 9:15 a.m. with a live praise band and children’s church during the sermon. The traditional service with a pipe organ and traditional and gospel hymns is at 11:15 a.m. At 10:20 a.m. Sunday school classes for children, confirmation classes for middle school students, a high school faith formation class and Adult Better Life classes are offered. Adult classes include the Love Dare Bible study from the Fireproof movie, a study on the “Feasts” in the Bible, Bible study on the book of Mark, “How to Share Your Faith,” and a college and career class. A nursery is provided for babies through two years old during both Sunday services and Sunday school. ONEderful Wednesdays begin on Wednesday, Sept.16 with a free church-wide cookout from 5:30 – 7:15 p.m. The Cherub Choir for children ages three to five meets at 6 p.m. Kids’ Ministry Company for first through fifth graders meets from 6:30 until 7:45 p.m. Kids’ Ministry is a faith-building program that includes small group learning, projects, games, music, crafts, and more. Middle and high school students will study the “Facing the Giants” movie Bible study. Adults are invited to attend “An Hour with Pastor Kollmeyer,” who will be leading Andy Stanley’s “Balanced,” a study on finances or The Love Dare Bible study from the Fireproof movie.
