Atlanta Christian College announced today that adult degree completion courses will be offered at a satellite campus in Peachtree City, Ga., beginning in October.

“Over the last year, we have seen adult learners drive more than 50 miles one way to attend classes in an environment that is academically challenging and distinctively Christian,” said Dean C. Collins, president of Atlanta Christian College.

“I’m thrilled with this milestone for ACC with the launching of our first off-site location,” Collins continued. “We believe that the communities of Fayette and Coweta Counties and beyond will receive direct benefit from our expansion into this market.”

Students in Access, Atlanta Christian’s adult degree completion program, may earn an associate or bachelor’s degree in as little as 18-24 months. Currently, the program offers adult students the opportunity to study Christian ministries, organizational leadership or counseling and human services. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.

“The current economic downturn has driven many adult students to return to higher education in order to make themselves more competitive in the workforce,” said Colleen Ramos, vice president of adult and professional studies at ACC. “We’re excited that adults in the southern metro area will now have even more convenient access to our degree programs structured for the working adult.”

Atlanta Christian College, founded in 1937, enrolls more than 700 students in both adult and traditional degree programs. Atlanta Christian’s mission is to educate students for Christ-centered service and leadership throughout the world. The College’s board of trustees is currently in the process of selecting a new location for the main campus in order to accommodate further growth.
