Bertha W. Morris, 80, Fayetteville, died Aug. 27, 2009. She was a 58-year member of the McDonough Road Baptist Church, where she was active in church work and the Ladies Bible Class. She enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and Falcons. She had worked for several years as a secretary for the Standard Oil Company and later as a secretary for the Fulton Superior Court. Services were at the McDonough Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. David Chancy officiating. Interment was at College Park Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, David J. and Christy Morris, Senoia; a daughter, Linda and Dallas Hedgecock, Senoia; grandchildren, Ivy Morris, Emily Morris, Amy Morris, and Holly Hedgecock; brothers, Harold Williams, Stockbridge, Charles Williams, Douglasville, and Claude Williams; and sisters, Dorothy Baxter, Powder Springs, and Betty Duke, Smyrna. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
