Helen Lee Harris, 87, Sharpsburg, died Feb. 9, 2006. She was born Nov. 8, 1918 in Fayette County, daughter of James Mason and Kathryn Isabella Wells Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill Harris, and a son, Michael Harris. Her family were among the original owner’s of Lee’s Mill and Lee’s Mill Lake in north Fayette County. After her retirement from Rich’s she moved from East Point to Christian City. A private graveside service was held. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Bell, Sharpsburg; a sister, Mary Harris, Union City; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
