Partners in Education (PIE), is a joint program of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and the Fayette County Board of Education. The mission of PIE is to establish and support partnerships to enrich and extend the education opportunities for Fayette County students.

The Partners in Education Committee has scheduled an information workshop for school contacts; Principals, Administrators, and PTO representatives to learn more about the new revisions of the (PIE) program. It will introduce the new handbook as a guide and instructions on how to complete the Community Partner commitment form with a Community Business partner interested in supporting their specific school. Completing the commitment form together provides a clear understanding of the benefits between both parties.

School Representatives are encouraged to attend the Partners in Education Workshop on Friday, August 28 at 8 a.m. at the Fayette Chamber, 200 Old Courthouse Square, Fayetteville, Ga.. This hour of your time will be a valuable investment. Contact the Chamber at 770-461-9983 or Ruth West at the LEC at 770-460-3990 ext. 470 to RSVP.

The Business Community Partners should watch for notifications regarding the new Partners in Education Program updates and begin contacting their selected partner schools to set-up a meeting to complete the new 2009-2010 commitment form together.

If you have any questions regarding the new Partners in Education program or handbook revisions, contact Joyce Gaglione at the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce at 770-461-9983 or go to the Chamber website at www.FayetteChamber.org and click Partners in Education
