John D. Litzenberger, 76, Fayetteville, died Aug. 17, 2009. He was a retired captain from Eastern Airlines after 26 years of service. He had proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Memorial services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor John Hobbs officiating. Survivors include his wife, Sue Litzenberger, Fayetteville; sons, David and Rita Litzenberger, Dallas, Ga., and Michael and Sherry Litzenberger, Turin, and Kevin and Clarissa Litzenberger, McDonough; and grandchildren, Cole, Jesse, Tristan, Mackenzie, and Riley. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
