Judy Clayton, Sharpsburg, died Aug. 20, 2009. She was born Aug. 21, 1942 in Escanaba, Mich. She was preceded in death by her father, Verner Johnson. She worked for many years for TDK in several capacities. She was a member of Epsilon Lambda Chapter of Sigma Beta Sorority since 1992. For 30 years she was a faithful and active member of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church and was known for her great concern for others. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, and was an avid reader. Services were at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor Miriam Beecher officiating.

Survivors include her husband, Jon Clayton, Sharpsburg; a son, Bobby and Annamarie Clayton, Daytona Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Lorrie and Craig Sheffer, Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Travis Clayton, Nicole Clayton, and Natalie Sheffer; mother, Ellen Johnson, Escanaba, Mich.; a brother, Tom and Judy Johnson; and a sister, Karen and Joe Dillabough, Escanaba, Mich. Memorial donations may be made to Sigma Beta Sorority or CURE for childhood cancer.
