Carolyn Lee Dietz, 65, Fayetteville, died Aug. 6, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Catherine Anderson, and sisters, Louise McClendon and Jan Anderson. She taught sign language and translated sermons and music for the deaf. She was loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Lance Simonds officiating. Interment was at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Ga. Survivors include her husband, John Dietz, Fayetteville; a son, Greg and Michelle Dietz, Douglasville; a daughter, Cheri and Lance Simonds, McDonough; grandchildren, Lydia and Luke Simonds, Kelsey Dietz, Josh Dietz, and Ryan Dietz; a brother, Joe Anderson; and sisters, Marian LaViano, and Ellen Moore. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
