Bill and Peggy Schnitzer of Peachtree City announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Katharine Brittany Schnitzer, to Stephen Lewis Bearden, son of Mike and Jan Bearden of Cartersville.

The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 2006 graduate of Valdosta State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is currently employed by Gentiva Health Services in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a degree in business. He currently works for Holder Construction as a project engineer.

The outdoor wedding will take place Saturday, Oct.10, 2009, in Madison, at the James Madison Inn and Conference Center. After a honeymoon to Vancouver, the couple will reside in Charlotte, N.C.
