Steve Kidd has been on the bench coaching student athletes in softball, baseball and basketball for 30 years, sometimes coaching all three in a season.

When this school year started, Kidd appraoched McIntosh principal Tracie Fleming and athletic director Steve Cole and announced that this would be his last year coaching.

“I’ve been thinking about retiring for the last couple of years,” said Kidd. “All I want to do now is teach and have more time with my family.”

Kidd has been serving as the McIntosh Lady Chiefs basketball coach for a number of years. There is no word yet on who will be replacing him next season.
