Clifford Charles "C. C." Bridges, Newnan, died July 26, 2009. He was born March 30, 1946 in Sargent. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emanuel Elderidge and Emma Lou Meadows Bridges, brothers, James Bridges, Edward Bridges, Jimmy Bridges, and Luther "Bad Boy" Bridges, and a sister, Mary Strozier Ross. He was graduated from Central High School, Newnan, the class of 1964. He was employed by Georgia Power Plant Yates for 40 years, where he served as supervisor.

Services were at The Centre for Performing Visual Arts with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary L. Bridges; children, Ardrayer Bridges, Clifford C. and Nakeyta Bridges Jr., Emanuel D. and Latonya Bridges Dr., Carmisha Bridges and Troy Owens, and Rejenna Bridges; a daughter-sister-in-law, Willena Barber; 17 grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters-in-law; and mother-in-law, Lizzie Barber. Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
