Rockspray pond repair complete

Temporary repairs to the Rockspray Pond, located on Crosstown Road east of Peachtree Parkway, have been completed, city officials said this week.

The pond’s outflow pipe has been repaired and the pond will be refilling as it rains over the next few weeks. Permanent repairs will require a complete replacement of the primary spillway, and will be made in two to three years, officials said.

Tourism board changes meeting location

Peachtree City’s Tourism Association has changed its meeting location now that it no longer operates the city’s tennis center where it formerly met.

But interested persons won’t have to go far: the meetings will be held at the city visitor’s center, which is operated by the tourism board.

The meetings are held every third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
