Buvenia Warren Steele, 93, Newnan, died July 27, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Evie Hogan Warren, her husband, Lewis Steele, a brother, J. B. Warren, and a son, Stan Steele. She was born April 21, 1916 in Roopville, Ga. She grew up in Heard County in a farming family and attended grade school at Tyus. She sent her entire adult life in Newnan and was the oldest living member of Arnco Baptist Church, which she attended for 70 years. She worked at Arnco Mill for 45 years, at Clover Electronics, and at Stan Steele Surveying.

Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan. Survivors include a son, Doyle and Harriet Steele, Newnan; daughters, Emily and Don Craft, Huntsville, Ala., and Pam and Jimmy Beavers, Newnan; a daughter-in-law, Paula Steele, Newnan; eight grandchildren; and great-grandson, Davis Markham, Atlanta. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
