Fayette Shrine Club is hosting its first Chili Cook-off to support Shriner Children’s Hospitals. The cook-off will be held on the grounds of Fayette Shrine Club located at 205 Ellis Road in Fayetteville. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and people’s choice for chili and a people’s choice award for salsa. Entry requires a donation of $75 for chili and $15 for salsa (salsa entry is free to chili cookers). The entry deadline is Aug. 20. Food and drink will be available. For a small donation, the public will be invited to taste chilis and salsas. Be ready to prepare a pot of your favorite chili or salsa.
