Hoke Lane Carroll, 44, Newnan, died July 21, 2009. He was a 1983 graduate of Fayette County High School. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with First Baptist Church of Fayetteville Deacon and family friend, Jimmy White officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Carroll; stepchildren, Caitlen and Robbie Brownlee, Newnan; a son, Jonathan David Brown, Auburn, Ala.; a daughter, Callie and Chad Vasser; a grandson, Brantley Vasser, Rockmart, Ga.; parents, Bill and La Verne Carroll, Fayetteville; a brother, Brian and Andrew Carroll, Meriwether County; a sister, Sharon and Jerry Norton, Fayetteville; maternal grandmother, Lillian Rutledge, Fayetteville; paternal grandmother, Mary Carroll, Union City; nephews, Blake Norton and Kyle Norton; and nieces, Mollie Norton, and Abigail Carroll. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
