Mr. and Mrs. Harry M. Nelson of Peachtree City announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Brandi Kaye Nelson, to Michael David Dailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dailey of McDonough.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Ruth Upshaw and the late Luther Upshaw of Pickens, Miss. and Harry C. Nelson and the late Doris Nelson of Huntsville, Ala. She is a graduate of McIntosh High School and The State University of West Georgia where she earned a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education. She is employed as the youth athletic coordinator for Henry County Parks and Recreation.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Moline McEarchern and the late Floyd McEarchern of McDonough and the late J.D. and Martha Dailey of McDonough. He is a graduate of Henry County High School and attended Middle Georgia Technical College. He is employed as a detective for the Henry County Police Department.

An outdoor wedding is planned for Aug. 22, 2009, at Nash Farms in Hampton. Following a honeymoon to Las Vegas, the couple will reside in McDonough.
