Barry and Karen Armstrong of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Holli Lequin Armstrong, to Daniel Matthew Hamby, son of Phillip and Peggy Hamby of Newnan.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of William and Joan Butler of Fayetteville and the late Bill and Joann Armstrong. She is a 1999 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and a 2003 graduate of Clayton College and State University where she received a bachelor of business management degree. She is currently employed at Energy Systems Group in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Cliff and Gloria Ferguson of Hopkinsville, Ky., the late Randall Eligh and the late Houstin and Mabel Hamby. He is a 1997 graduate of McIntosh High School and will continue to pursue his bachelor’s degree at Clayton College and State University next year. He is currently employed at Sanderson Industries in Atlanta.

The wedding will be Sept. 26, 2009, at the Coweta Club at Arbor Springs Plantation in Newnan. Following a Jamaican honeymoon, the couple will reside in Newnan.
