All Childrens Playground wins recognition; also honored are Partner's Pizza and Pascal's Bistro

Peachtree City's handicap-accessible playground recently was crowned the best playground in metro Atlanta by the website Atlanta.Momslikeme.com.

All Children's Playground got more than one-third of the vote with 36 percent, compared to first runner-up Bethesda Park Aquatic Center, Lawrenceville with 29 percent.

Two local restaurants also were recognized, as Partners Pizza in Peachtree City took home third place with 15 percent of the vote in the best pizza shop competition.

Pascal's Bistro in Peachtree City came in third place in the best date night restaurant category with 15 percent of the vote.

All Children's Playground, located in Picnic Park adjacent to the city hall and library buildings, is designed to accommodate children of all abilities including those who use wheelchairs or walkers to get around. Ramps to the taller areas and a rubberized surface are part of the design to improve mobility of handicapped children.

The playground was built almost exclusively with donations from local businesses and residents on land supplied by the city.
