A traffic stop by Fayetteville Police early Tuesday morning for loud music resulted in the arrest of a Jonesboro man wanted by the U.S. Army for desertion.

George Devin Reynolds, 23, of Jonesboro, was pulled over on North Glynn Street at 3 a.m. for loud music. A check of his license showed that he was wanted for desertion, said Fayetteville Police spokesperson Steve Crawshaw.

Also arrested for possession of alcohol by a minor were 17-year-old Timothy Nunes of Jonesboro and 18-year-old Jemiere Hampton of Fayetteville, Crawshaw said.

Officers during the traffic stop smelled alcohol and asked the two if they had been drinking, said Crawshaw. After receiving a response of “no,” one admitted to having consumed two or three beers, while the other said he was not sure if he had been drinking, Crawshaw said.

“But both of them blew positive for alcohol,” said Crawshaw.

In an unrelated incident, a traffic stop Monday afternoon for a seatbelt violation led to the arrest of Angel and James Bradley of Griffin. Angel Bradley was wanted on a Griffin charge while James Bradley was wanted on a Henry County warrant, Crawshaw said.
