Newnan Police are searching for an armed gunman who held up the Bank of Georgia branch at 471 U.S. Highway 29 North Tuesday morning. An undetermined amount of money was taken in the heist.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5’5”-5’6” in height and weighing approximately 170-180 lbs., wearing a dark blue ski mask, dark colored gloves, a gray jacket, dark pants and boots.

The pistol is described as a large, black semi-automatic pistol. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. No shots were fired and no one was physically injured during the robbery.
