Lee A. Moss, Newnan, died July 13, 2009. He was born Oct. 15, 1952, son of the late Thomas and Selena Moss. He received his education in the Coweta County school system where he later became a fulltime employee. He was a self-taught musician mastering the drums and electric guitar. He was a member of the original Righteous Brothers Gospel Quarter for several year. He is credited for arranging the sound tracks for "Amazing Grace" and "Sinner Man' on their first album. Services were at the Roscoe Jenkins chapel with Pastor Craig Hill officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Survivors include a son, James A. "Dru" Moss; a sister, Bessie and Gene Williams; nephews, Thomas Williams and Joseph Williams; a niece, Miasha "Mimi" Moss; two great-nieces; four aunts; three great-aunts; two uncles; former wife, Sarah D. Ellis; special friend, Cathy Mitchell; and granddaughter, Jasmine L. Ellis. Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge. login to post comments |
