Leonard "Lent" Grooms, 95, Fayetteville, died July 8, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Bell McCoy Grooms, in 1981. He was born in Brooks and worked as a farmer there until he was employed as a printer with Atlanta Constitution. He retired from there in 1979. Services will be tomorrow, Thursday, July 16, at 1 p.m., at New Hope United Methodist Church with the Rev. Belinda McCastle officiating.

Survivors include his children, Annette Grooms, Leonard and Carolyn Simms, Margie Lemon, Larry and Linda Brassell, Carolyn Grooms, Daniel Hand, Billy and Isabelle Bridges, and Willie Bridges; and a brother, Ulyless and Sophronia Grooms. Harris Ward & Webb Ellison Funeral Home, Morrow, was in charge.
