Afton Audine Cox Fletcher, 96, Union City, formerly of Graham, Texas, died July 9, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Robert and Andella Cox, her first husband, Eldon A. Gresham, her second husband, Jack L. Fletcher, and a daughter, Patricia A. LaForge. She attended North Texas State Teachers College and taught several years, including a year at a one-teacher school with eight students and two elementary schools in Texas. In 1986 she moved to Peachtree City, where she was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano. Memorial services will be August 1, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the chapel at Christian City, Union City. Survivors include a son, E.A. and Marcia Gresham, Peachtree City; a stepson, Gene and Kathy Fletcher, Salem, Ore.; a brother, J.R. and Jeanette Cox, Lufkin, Texas; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions can be made to Flat Creek Baptist Church, 161 Flat Creek Trail, Fayetteville, GA 30214, or Southwest Christian Care Hospice, 7225 Lester Rd., Union City, GA 30291. Carl J.
