Alec James Bolotin, 85, Newnan, died June 23, 2009. He was born May 5, 1924 in San Francisco. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Buschnoff Bolotin, and his firs wife of 49 years, Hope Chernoff Bolotin, and children, Faith Rooney, Alec James Bolotin Jr., Dolores Chico, and infant son, William Bolotin. He was the son of Russian immigrants and grew up in California in a nurturing Russian community. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps before beginning his 43 year career as a Kiln Engineer. When he remarried in 2001 they moved to Newnan. Memorial services were at Cornerstone United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray King officiating. The cremains were interred at Rolling Hills Cemetery, Richmond, Calif. Survivors includes his wife, Frances Crenshaw Bolotin, Newnan; sons, William Bolotin, Watsonville, Calif., Michael and Marty Moiseff, El Doroda Hills, Calif.; daughters, Darlene and Don Broadwell, Gardnerville, Nev., Melody and Doug Hackett, El Sobrante, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Kathy and Scott Babbitt, Peachtree City; and 14 grandchildren.
