Roger and Sue Bailey of Fairburn celebrated 50 years of marriage June 1, 2009. The former Sue Johnson wed Roger Bailey in their hometown of East Point in 1959 in a ceremony attended by family and friends. Both attended Russell High School.

The Baileys have three children: Michael, who lives in North Carolina; Gary, who lives in Alabama; and Jennifer who lives in Fayetteville. They have six grandchildren Mitch, Brittany, Garrett, Hunter, Dylan and Elise.
