Katherine Brown Lewis, Fayetteville, died June 22, 2009. She was born Aug. 22, 1923 in Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her parents, E. D. and Geneva Sanges Brown, and her husband of 56 years, J.P. Lewis Jr. She worked at Rich's until her first child was born. She was involved with several organizations and always involved with her children's activities. She made great potato salad and apple cakes. She was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include a son, Doug Lewis, Fayetteville; a daughter, Shirley Vinson, Fayetteville; a grandson, Rusty Vinson, Fayetteville; a granddaughter, Jennifer and Tom Hill, Fayetteville; great-grandsons, T. J., Josh and Matt Hill, all of Fayetteville; a sister, Jane Martin, Atlanta; nephews, Bruce and Steve Martin, Atlanta, and Cecil and Betty Trainer, Spartanburg, S.C., Fred and Margaret Trainer, Knoxville, Tenn., and a niece, Sylvia and Ronnie Mazeau, Orlando. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1925 Century Blvd., NE, Ste. 10, Atlanta, GA 30345. Carl J.
