Southwest Christian Care announces its 17th Annual Benefit Dinner and Auction Gala to be held Aug. 20 at the Georgia International Convention Center and featuring the comedy of Jeff Foxworthy. Attendees to the annual benefit dinner and auction gala will enjoy an exciting evening with a ‘silent and live’ auction, fine food prepared by Proof of the Pudding and the fun and laughter of Jeff Foxworthy and his “redneck” humor. The evening will also include the premiere of a new song, recently recorded by artist Brent Cochran, written in honor of special needs children. The dinner and gala is the keystone of the annual fundraising efforts. All money raised supports the ministry’s care for terminally ill patients, children with special needs, seniors and their families throughout the metro Atlanta area. Because all of these services are provided at no cost to patients or their families, Southwest Christian Care depends on the generous gifts of individuals, civic groups, corporations, churches, business and foundations. Jeff Foxworthy first appeared at this event in 2000, attracting over 1,300 guests, the largest audience ever. He appeared again in 2005, beating his own record and attracting over 2,000 attendees. Tickets for this event are limited and expected to sell out.
