Square Foot offers Impact 2009 in GriffinTue, 06/30/2009 - 3:17pm
By: The Citizen
With the overwhelming success of Impact 2009 in Fayetteville, Impact 2009 in Griffin will begin with a kick-off dinner on July 8 at 6 p.m. at the First Assembly of Griffin. Bands will include Ezekial’s Eye, Majors and Somebody Else. Impact is a youth mission and ministry connecting teens with area building projects. All denominations of faith are encouraged to volunteer and all skill levels are welcome. All that is needed is a desire to serve the Lord through helping others. Projects in Griffin will include helping build a home for a widow, painting the exterior of a church and providing support for our troops through a letter-writing campaign. There will also be an opportunity to assist homeowners in the Thomaston Mill area with yardwork and light carpentry. The two work days will be on July 9 and 10. Breakfast will be provided by Griffin United Methodist Church. Each day will include a time of competition to build spirit and excitement as teams vie for great prizes and trips. Scout troops, youth groups and clubs are welcome as well as individuals. For information please contact Brian Musselman at (678) 230-5157 or visit www.sfmimpact.com login to post comments |
