2nd Lieutenant Heather Mahaffey was commissioned into the US Air Force by her father, Colonel Kevin Mahaffey, USAF. Heather was a 2005 graduate of Starrs Mill High School and a 2009 graduate of The University of Georgia. 2nd Lt Mahaffey has accepted the Health Services Scholarship offered her by the USAF and will be attending Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington DC beginning in August.
