Bertha Benke, Fayetteville, died June 15, 2009. She was born in Manhattan, N.Y., where she was a former New York City Rockette. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Benke, a grandson, Tyler Dodson, and a son-in-law, Roland Scott Dodson. She lived most of her life in the suburbs of Hunterdon County, N.J. before moving to Fayetteville to live with a daughter.

Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
Survivors include daughters, Liz Dodson, Fayetteville, and Joanne Snow, Newington, N.H.; and grandchildren, Cody Scott Dodson, Fayetteville, and Kyle Snow and Sean Snow, both of Newington, N.H. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
