Martha O. Thomas, 89, Fayetteville, formerly of Orlando, died June 16, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold O. Thomas, a daughter, Katherine T. Goold, and a brother David Edwards. She was a longtime member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church and the Fellowship-Disciple Sunday School Class. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Mark Westmoreland officiating. Interment was at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, Fla.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Thomas and Edward Wetmiller, Tyrone; grandsons, Matthew Wetmiller, Madison, Ga., and Brian and Lorey Wetmiller, Peachtree City; and a sister, Josephine Sims, Decatur, Ill. Memorial donations may be made to Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary, 1255 Hwy. 54 W., Fayetteville, GA 30214. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
