The grand opening of the Second Chance Thrift Shop, a mission of Brooks United Methodist Church, was held Saturday, June 13. Bobby Butler, Brooks mayor, welcomed the shop with a speech and cut the ribbon, along with the Rev. Leslie Langford of Brooks UMC. The shop is in the old Crawford House, circa 1910, located at 151 West McIntosh Rd., Brooks, and is fully stocked with many second hand items, including clothing, household items, books and antiques. Hours of operation are Fridays and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Shown above are, front row (L-R) Bobby Butler, Leslie Langford, Rev.
