Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will host a Christian modern rock band, “Ives,” at the 9:45 a.m. service on June 28 in the Fellowship Hall.

The Albuquerque, N.M. based group “blends multi-part harmonies with alternate-tuning acoustic guitars, electric guitar textures, and ethereal keyboards.”

Jason Tolliver (guitar/vocals), Aaron Moreno (guitar/vocals), Bryce Newman (bass), and Drew Newman (drums/vocals) grew up as friends in the town of Auburn, Calif. Their music may be sampled at www.fishers.com/ives.

Since they will play at a worship service, admission is free, but their albums will be available for purchase.

Ives appears in place of “GraceFlock,” Christ Our shepherd’s contemporary praise band, since GraceFlock is on a two-week, ten-concert tour of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois.

At two locations they will also conduct workshops on contemporary worship.

The tour is dubbed the “Alive in the Lamb” tour — the title of Grace Flock’s second compact disc which was released late last year.
