The Southern Crescent Aquatic Team scored big at the Hurricane Classic held in Columbus, Ga., Sept. 30-Oct. 1.

The 8 and under girls that scored big for the team were Alexandra Schmid, Samantha Schmid, and Claire Novelly. Austin Palmer was the eight and under high point winner along with Nicholas Palmer and Robby Blanchard scoring points. Jordan Schumacher and Missy Beall placed in the top 12 for the 9-10 girls. Robbie Scott won high point for the 9-10 boys along with Andrew Todd and Linus Schatte scoring points in their age group.

Sydney Cartwright, Kristen Bohrer, Kimberley Ray, Halie Hinchey, Taylor Snyder, Courtney Harris, Alex Menke, Mark Buck, Evan Novelly, and Jack Beall scored for the 11-12 girls and boys. Bailey Cartwright won high point for 13-14 girls along with Lauren Scott, Katie Haycraft, Kiersten Mossburg, and Lauren Beatty also scoring points in that age group. Scoring in the 13-14 boys age group were Peter Menke, Alex Harmon, Jim Roddenbery, Josh Day, Casey Blanchard, and Alec Vasquez.

Winning high point for the 15 and over girls was Lauren Cartwright. Other teammates scoring in that age group were Sarah Larson, Keaton Hannon, Katelyn Davis, Nicole Roddenbery, MacKenzie Garrot, and Kristen Schroder. Zach Payne was awarded high point for the 15 and over boys age group along with Thomas Lucak, Matt Hildebrand, and Matt Boyle scoring points for the team in that age group.

The Southern Crescent Aquatic Team’s next swimming competition is October 14-16 in Marietta.
