The Coweta County Commission will host Town Hall Meetings in each of the five districts with their respective commissioner. The meetings are designed to give citizens an opportunity to meet with their commissioner in a welcoming environment.

“Citizens are always welcome and encouraged to attend commission meetings, but sometimes the format of those meetings is a bit formal and can be intimidating. These town hall meetings are designed to give citizens a chance to meet their commissioner and talk about the issues facing the county,” said Patricia Palmer, Coweta County Public Information Officer. “Commissioners want to know what’s on citizens’ minds, both the things that frustrate them and the things they really like.”

The meetings will be held:

Thursday, June 25, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  District 1 with Commissioner Paul Poole at the Senoia Community Center

Thursday, August 27, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. District 2 with Commissioner Tim Lassetter at the Welcome Community Center

Tuesday, September 29, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. District 4 with Commissioner Rodney Brooks at the Central Library

Tuesday, October 27, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. District 5 with Commissioner Al Smith at the Clay-Wood Center

A fifth town hall meeting in District 3 with Commissioner Randolph Collins will be scheduled shortly. All meetings will be posted on the Coweta County Website at www.coweta.ga.us.
