The community is banding together to raise funds for a McIntosh High School student who has been hospitalized since late April.

Jenna Evans, 16, was injured in a golf cart crash April 24, the day before the McIntosh prom. She was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center with injuries to her throat and lacerations to her face.

Evans remains at Atlanta Medical Center as medical staff in the neuro intensive have been treating a number of issues ranging from a tear to her throat, a collapsed lung, a blood infection and others.

An account in Evans’ name has been established at The Bank of Georgia and donations will be accepted at any branch. Donors are asked to put their name and address on the front of the deposit slip for acknowledgment.

Some students have also organized a jar donation system that will be on hand at many local businesses for those who wish to donate that way also.
