Evelyn Smith Graves, 87, Fayetteville, died June 1, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Louie F. Graves, and sisters, Edith Buice and Christine Fore. She was a longtime member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church where she also taught Kindergarten.
Services were at the Overton chapel of Fayetteville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Fledderjohann and the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.

Survivors include sons, Steve and Elaine Graves, Rock Hill, S. C., Sam and Karen Graves, Fayetteville, and Leonard and Cathy Couch, Riverdale; a daughter, Elizabeth and Dennis Fledderjohann, Highland, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandsons; a brother, Zollie Smith Jr., Rock Hill, S. C.; and sisters, Sadie Mathis, Conyers, Juanita Henry, Calhoun, and Norma Jean Steward, Hiawassee. Memorial donations may be given to the Fayetteville First Baptist Church Homebound Ministry. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
